WHO WE ARE
TUDI
Tunos Decanos de Iberoamérica is an association of Former Tunos, a fraternity in which we preserve and promote the tradition of Tunas, respecting the customs and traditions of each country that welcomes them.
Currently, it consists of veteran tunos from 15 countries: Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Ecuador, Spain, United States of America, Guatemala, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Peru, Portugal, and Puerto Rico.
HISTORY
Since 2020
TUDI was founded on June 19, 2020.
We are an open group for those who have a passion for knowledge, adventure, Tuna, Tuneria, and, in general, for real things like laughter and living life.
Our first Convention was held in Colombia (Bogotá and Cartagena) in September 2022.
The second Convention took place in the cities of Guimarães (Portugal) and Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in September 2023.

MISSION
Tunos Decanos de Iberoamérica is a non-profit organization of cultural nature, focused on promoting the well-being of its members while also engaging in activities that positively impact the Ibero-American community. We foster relationships of camaraderie, friendship, and fraternity.
VISION
We aim to establish bonds of brotherhood across all Ibero-American countries, encouraging cultural connections, promoting musical fusions, and laying a strong foundation for our tradition to endure over time. We strive to be an alternative source of fraternity for the new generations.
PURPOSE
Improve the quality of life for our members through STUDY and PRACTICE of our tradition, while simultaneously cooperating with charitable organizations. Establish relationships with similar international organizations, organizing events, and participating in those to which we are invited.

DEMOCRATIC
In TUDI, we have elections.
All members can be candidates for the position of Country Counselor and General Counselor.
There is no room for personality cults or perpetuation.
UNIVERSAL
In TUDI, there are no flags and no borders.
No flag supersedes that of our homelands.
We respect the customs and traditions of the countries that make up our group.
INCLUSIVE
In TUDI, we don't believe in the provenly incorrect dogma that Tuna is solely a university tradition and only the male-composed are "true" tunas.
We welcome members from popular and mixed Tunas into our fraternity.
